The Ref’s post got me to looking around for some old school fight videos. Naturally, I went to You Tube. Any fight fan should be very familiar with this site by now. I found a dandy out there. The Grim Reaper is in there, as is Bob Probert. There is a great tilt where GB favorite Gordie Dwyer gets knocked senseless (win some lose some eh?) This video features an all time great one punch from Aaron Downey on Jesse Boulerice. Enjoy boys. Opening night is almost here.
Speaking of Old School
If you've spent any time on Reddit or hockey Twitter lately, you've probably seen the question pop up: are enforcers still a thing in hockey? It's usually asked by someone who just watched Matt Rempe try to dismantle a human being, or maybe someone who tuned out around 2011 and is just getting back into the sport. The short answer is yes. The 2024–25 NHL season didn’t just deliver highlight-reel goals and breakout rookies. It delivered pugilistic carnage. And for fans who remember the golden era of enforcers, the message was clear- the fight game is far from dead.

That is an amazing collection. One of the best I’ve seen. Gordie had a shitty grip on the jersey. Couldn’t land anything.
Walked right into the boom too. I spent a good two hours drinking brew and watching old fights on You Tube last night. As such, I am taking MOL to a nice dinner as punishment.
Yeah. I know how much she loves the New London Style Pizza on 2A in Acton. Make mine a large turkey, toasted.
