A lot of video games have “morale meters” as part of their player stats. If you do a bunch of killin’ without gettin kilt, for example, you morale meter might fill up then allowing you to inflict even more devastation on the opposing army, dragons, talking mushrooms, whatever.
I liken enforcers to a morale boosting piece of a coach’s arsenal. A frantic donnybrook ending in a clear win for a team losing steam can make all the difference.
